About 701 students from Kaduna State in northwestern Nigeria will not be able to sit for the WAEC secondary school leaving examination due to their inability to pay their dues.
The Punch reported that students, who hail from various high schools in the state, were not allowed to post their marks on the board of the board administering the high school graduation exams.
However, the board later appealed to the affected schools that the site would be reopened to accommodate their grades.
The schools affected by their students include Government Secondary School Kuse, which has 290 final students affected.
Government Secondary School Independence Way Kaduna, 150 students, Kagarko Government Secondary School with 110 students and Government Senior Secondary School Iddah with 100 students.
Others are Al-Bahmeen Academy, Kaduna with eight students and Kalhyatu AbdulRahman Bin Auf Academy, Jere with 15 students and Great Panaf Schools Kaduna with 13 students and ECWA Secondary School, Kubacha with 10 students and Government Secondary School Mato with five students.
