Acting Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe inaugurates the fifth cohort of Kashim Ibrahim Fellows.

The Acting Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe welcomed the 5th cohort of the Kashim Ibrahim Fellowship also known as the Class of Phoenix.

The Acting Governor described the fellowship program established in 2018 as “the logical extension of the careful attention the Kaduna State Government pays to developing young people”.

The Welcome Ceremony which took place at the Government House had Members of the KIF Steering Committee, senior officials of Kaduna State Government and Alumni of the Fellowship in attendance.

H.E, the Acting Governor, urged the new Fellows to "give their best, strive for the best, and deliver quality" as they immerse themselves into the governance machinery of Kaduna State.

The Class of Phoenix consists of 24 Fellows with 8 from Kaduna, and the other 16 from Ekiti, Benue, Adamawa, Edo, Sokoto, Lagos, Kwara, Edo, Plateau, Kogi, Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Delta, and Katsina.

The 24 set of fellows will commence their one-year leadership training programme which involves emersion in to the Kaduna State Governance machinery alonside other activities design to support their intellectual development and expand their understanding of public service and leadership.

Fellows will serve as Special Assistants to the Governor while working at MDAs in the State during their Fellowship year.
