Kaduna State Para Soccer players have decried lack of support from Government and other stakeholders in the development of their sporting activities.
They made the remarks through their team captain, Isma’il Yahaya while speaking with KSMC Sports Correspondent during their training session at the Kaduna township stadium Kaduna.
The captain explained that before government has been supporting them in different aspect but presently, the support is not coming, hence faced with a lot of challenges which can be addressed by all relevant authority especially as they are preparing for a National Competition in October this year.
He appealed to the state and local governments to reach out to them with a helping hand to assist make a career out of sports.
And in football, results of the YSFON U-16 youth league week one shows that Immortals football Club played a Two- Two Draw against DMF Academy, Maishago Football Academy lost to Flamingos three-nil after a walk over, following their failure to present their Group photograph, CCS football Club beat Nasco Jets of Tudun wada by three Goals to nothing and Supreme F c Lost to Divine F C by Five Goals to one.
In another development, Nigeria's men basketball team D'Tigers bounced back strongly in the quest to secure their passage into the 2023 FIBA World cup.
The team lost their opening group game to the host Ivory Coast on Friday which provided a setback for the team, but proved too must for Guinea.
D'Tigers dominated the game right from the 1st quarter and secured a 24-15 win, but struggled in the early part of the 3rd quarter and allowed Guineans to reduce the gap to 4 points.
Despite the threat from Guinea, D'Tigers when on to claim 89-70 victory.
And in Spanish LaLiga, Super Eagles striker, Sadiq Umar has scored his second La Liga Goal in three games as Almeria silenced Sevilla to 2-1 defeat on Saturday evening.
It was worried start for Almeria as they were on the receiving end of pressure from Sevilla which resulted in the team conceding goal in the 30th min through Oliver Torres to give the visitors the advantage.
