The Centre for Gender Studies, Kaduna State University today presented an award of Honour to Her Excellency, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe for her outstanding leadership and for being a model to women in the state and the country. 

Presenting the award today, the Director of the Centre, Professor Hauwa’u Evelyn Yusuf said Dr.Hadiza has distinguished herself as a woman of courage, character and one who sets goals that impact on people and achieve them.

On behalf of the Centre, the Deputy Governor also presented an award to two undergraduate students of KASU, Chiamaka Mirah Duru and Chidera Mandy Duru, for their outstanding leadership and contributions to the welfare of KASU students.

The twins have brought in innovative skills to impart entrepreneurial skills to students on campus, contributions that have been recognized and celebrated by the Students Affairs Division and Centre for Gender Studies of the State University.

The Centre also gave award of Honour to the Dean of Students Affairs, Professor Terhemba Wuam and the Director of the Centre, Professor Hauwa Evelyn Yusuf.
