As September 30 elections into the board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) gathers momentum, one of the aspirants for the post of the president, Abba Abdullahi Yola, has promised to change the fortune of Nigeria football in two years, if elected.
Yola, who is the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Youth and Sports development, Sunday Dare, said in two years, he would enhance the fortunes of Nigeria football to an enviable pole position that will be the pride of Nigerians.
The former Kano Pillars chairman added that his administration would be at the forefront of establishing transparency within the first six months of being elected by establishing 18 standing committees to help in the effective administration of its programmes.
“The administration of football in Nigeria has gone through some good, turbulent and rough times. It’s the understanding and resolve of Nigerians that a new driver is needed to bring back those good times and remove that sour taste from our mouths,” he said.
Yola stressed that he would chart and usher in a new breadth of life to the secretariat of the NFF for effective and seamless service delivery and free bureaucratic business when he becomes the NFF president.
