Speaking at the flag-off, the SGS said the exercise marks a new dawn in the Environmental Sanitation of the State as he said it will no longer be business as usual, as the Governor has directed that all hands must be on deck to rid the State of the menace of indiscriminate disposal of waste and bring sanity to the city center. He says to achieve these, the Governor also directed that traditional rulers and community leaders must mobilize their subjects to take part in the monthly environmental sanitation and keep their environment clean. He then warned the citizens against the indiscriminate disposal of waste which he said would be met with strict enforcement by the relevant agencies as there are sanitation laws that he said must be obeyed.
