SWAN POLLS: Kano Chapter endorses Lurwanu Idris Malikawa for President

Sports journalists under the aegis of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN Kano chapter have thrown their weight behind the numerous clarion calls on the  incumbent north West , vice president of the association, Lurwanu Malikawa urging him to contest for the position of the president of the association, in the forth coming national polls.


SWAN Kano chapter, led by comrade Zahradeen Saleh wishes to use this medium to state that  in the spirit of SWAN statues,   it is aware of the forth coming  national elections of the noble body.

The release.of the names.of members of SWANECO is an indicator that it is time to elect a new set of credible national .leaders to be handed the mandate to pilot the affairs of the   largest  umbrella body of sports writers in sub saharan Africa.

SWAN Kano chapter humbly affirm our support for Malikawa to contest for the office of national.president of our enviable association.

Kano state chapter is of the strong conviction that, Malikawa parades the  requisite experience to preside.over the affairs of SWAN  at it"s  zenith.

Further , his over two decades sojourn in the sports sector, wherein he was tasked with various assignments local, national and international sports duties that were satisfactorily  discharged by Malikawa would be replicated .in the  national.life of our association, if given the mandate.

The state chapter take pride in how Malikawa breath the fertility of.life into Kano SWAN, he proceeded to exercise same on the north West stage.

"It is our belief that Malikawa is one man that can sustain the tempo set by the incumbent leadership of president , Honour Sirawoo.

"Malikawa has the potentials needed to continue to press on the turtle and further fasten the pace of progress recorded in the association in the past six years.

Malikawa it is in our firm conviction and  understanding having fulfilled the provisions of the relevant statutory laws has our blessings,  to proceed to proclaim his interest to occupy the highest sports journalism stool in Nigeria.

As we approach electioneering period in SWAN, we appeal to our members to continue to work hard towards the upliftment of our association and always remain law abiding in their conducts.
