Governor Nasir El-Rufai today met the leadership of traders in Kaduna, urges them not to join any protest.

Kaduna State Government has called on people in the state to continue to be patient on the difficulties they are facing as a result of the issue of naira swapping, as they state government is up and doing to address the challenge.

The Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nadir Ahmad El-Rufa'i explained the efforts being made to address the cash crisis and told the traders not to join or support any protest on the issue. He said that only peaceful and legal means should be used to solve the problem.

Elrufai made the call while briefing Kaduna State traders on the issues arising from the position of the federal government on the matter which held in Kaduna.

"The state government  has received a security report on a plan to stage a protest in the state on Wednesday as a result of the hardship being faced by people following the implementation of the policy," he said.

The Governor therefore appealed to the people in the state not to engage on acts that could cause distractions and continue with their normal business.

He assured them that all the Governors of the thirty-six states are against the position Central Bank of Nigeria on the issue.

Governor Elrufai noted that already three states including Kaduna State have sued the federal government to supreme court seeking for the federal government to withdrew from it position to ease the difficulties facing by Nigerians.

While alleging that the measure is a deliberate action engineered by some few people to sabotage the chances of the ruling party to win the forth coming elections, assured the people in the state that no one can loss his money.

Senator Uba Sani the Kaduna State APC 2023 Governorship Candidate and Muhammad Hafiz Bayero the Administrator Kaduna Capital Territory Authority were also in attendance.
