Osimhen Is New George Weah But Will Be Difficult To Win The CAF Best Player - Victor Agali

A former Super Eagles player, Victor Agali, has likened Osimhen to the legendary George Weah of Liberia, the sole winner of Ballon D'Or of African extraction.

Chatting with Football Live, Agali stressed that it could be tough for the 24 year-old to win the CAF African Player of The Year because of Nigeria’s FIFA World Cup absence in Qatar.

Osimhen due to his form and stats since last two seasons has been in contention for the CAF Best Player Award, but the next edition may be difficult with the likes of Morocco's Achraf Hakimi in contention.

"Victor Osimhen appreciates Napoli for the last two seasons, he is quick as well, and he deserves to be there for him to score 17 goals in the Serie A, being a difficult league,” Agali told FootballLive

"17 goals in the league is like scoring 30 goals in the French league. But at the moment, he is on top of the game, but, as for the African player of the year it will be really difficult."
