In a bid to clarify their stands on the ongoing allegations of marginalization by Southern Kaduna peoples union (SOKAPU), the Muslim Youth Forum of Southern Kaduna (MyFoska) has distanced itself from the news making rounds.
In a statement signed by the Forum's secretary, Abdullahi D Shuaibu, the forum noted that Sokapu is acting on it own interest and not the interest of the Muslim forums.
He added that, over forty percent of the total votes cast in the last general elections come from the Muslim communities in the region, but only three out of the seventeen appointments made by governor Uba Sani are Muslims.
The Forum noted that, Muslims in the area worked tirelessly toward ensuring the victory of the All Progressive Congress, but they are being marginalized, looking at statistics of appointments both at the state and at the National level.
They urged the Kaduna state governor to look into the possibility of balancing his appointments for the Muslim communities to have adequate representation in the government, calling on the governor to be wary of some fraudulent organizations that are bent on sabotaging the progress of his administration.
Lastly, the forum prayed for the success of the administration and called on the governor to keep up with the good work he has initiated in the state.
