Hunger strikes in East Africa

Aid groups warn that famine is on the rise in Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia due to conflict, climate change and rising food prices.

Reports from Oxfam and Save the Children show that one person dies every minute of starvation.

They also found that this year 181 million people will face starvation worldwide, with the majority being women.

But they blame international politics, and the way countries are dragging their feet to help famine-stricken countries.
