Saudi Arabia welcomes first hajj pilgrims this year

Saudi Arabia has welcomed the first batch of pilgrims from another country since the cholera outbreak in March 2020.

Hajj 2022

Saudi media say 358 pilgrims from Indonesia have been welcomed with palm oil and French.

For the past two years the number of pilgrims to Mecca has been reduced, but in July this year Muslims from around the world will perform Hajj (one of the five pillars of Islam).

Hajj is obligatory for every pious Muslim - at least once in his life.
