In a significant step towards enhancing agriculture and ensuring food security in Africa, the Republic Government of Somaliland has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with RiceAfrica.
The formal announcement, as conveyed by RiceAfrica in a statement released on Thursday, reveals that this milestone collaboration emerged during a courtesy visit. Ibrahim Maigari Ahmadu, Founder and CEO of RiceAfrica, paid a visit to the Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismail, at the Presidential Palace in Hargeisa on Wednesday.
Describing this partnership as a "major milestone achieved towards the adoption of a tech-driven solution to food insecurity in Somaliland and indeed Africa," the statement underscores the pivotal role technology will play in addressing agricultural challenges.
Vice President Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismail expressed the government's commitment to supporting investors and creating a conducive environment for businesses in Somaliland. "Somaliland is safe and peaceful for business," he affirmed, highlighting the country's stability as a foundation for economic activities.
