Zulum commiserates with Gombe over state medical store inferno

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Government and citizens of Gombe State following a tragic fire incident that engulfed the state's central medical store. 

The devastating fire resulted in substantial damage, estimated at over N5 billion, to crucial medical supplies, as well as maternal and child care equipment.

Governor Zulum, on behalf of the Government and people of Borno State, expressed sincere sympathies regarding the unfortunate incident that unfolded at the medical store situated on the premises of the Gombe State Ministry of Health. 

The fire, which broke out in the early morning hours on Monday, has left a profound impact on the healthcare infrastructure of the state.

Receiving the distressing news, Governor Zulum expressed his shock, stating, "This is a deeply distressing incident; my thoughts and prayers are with the people and Government of Gombe State during this trying time." 

He acknowledged the immense setback caused by the loss of critical medical supplies and equipment, emphasizing the significance of such resources in healthcare delivery.

Despite the challenges posed by the fire, Governor Zulum conveyed his confidence in the resilience of Gombe State, particularly under the leadership of Governor Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya. 

He expressed optimism that the state would overcome this setback and swiftly restore healthcare services for its citizens.

In his prayers, Governor Zulum appealed to Allah to prevent any recurrence of such tragic events and sought divine compensation for the losses incurred. 

The incident serves as a somber reminder of the vulnerabilities faced by crucial infrastructure, urging concerted efforts to prevent and mitigate such disasters in the future.
