Monkey pox cases have been reported in Spain and Portugal

Spain and Portugal have identified nearly 30 people with measles, just days after British authorities identified the virus, most of them in London.

Seven people have been diagnosed with the virus in the UK.

In Spain, the country's health ministry issued a statement after finding eight people infected with monkey pox in Madrid; Portuguese authorities have also identified 20 suspected cases in Lisbon.

The disease originated in West Africa. Symptoms include fever, headache, bloating and fatigue, although experts say the virus is less common.
