Youths in northern Nigeria have been urged to key into opportunities available on internet to enable them become financially independent.
The wife of Katsina state governor Hajiya Fatima Dikko Radda made the call during a conference organized by some youth entrepreneurs in kaduna
The conference with theme “exposing Arewa COMMUNITY to the digital wealth of the internet towards financial independence” aimed at sensitizing youths on benefits of digital wealth for jobs creation.
Wpeaking at the conference, the wife of the katsina state governor Hajiya Fatima Dikko Radda challenged women to wake up and embrace digital wealth on the internet instead of wasting their time on social media platforms.
Hajiya Fatima Radda who was represented by Acting Head of marketing department kaduna start university, Dr. Jamila Muhammad said nowadays technological advancement has comes with variety of means of earning wealth on internet.
In his remark, the convener of the event, Sani Zakari Ya’u said the event is to acquaint participants with knowledge on digital wealth to in order to reduce unemployment among youths in northern Nigeria.
Sani Zakari further explains that the essence of the conference is to complement government’s efforts in reducing high rate of unemployed teeming youths in northern Nigeria.
Also speaking, a lecturer with Nile University Abuja said the time for youths to rely on degree has become a thing of pass, urging graduates to use their smart phones to harness digital space especially skills to create jobs for themselves.
